Mount Rigi cogwheel railway and cable cars
Mount Rigi is reached from several sides. Cogwheel railways start in Vitznau and in Arth-Goldau, an aerial cableway climbs from Weggis to Rigi Kaltbad, and a second cableway runs from Kräbel to Rigi Scheidegg. All of these belong to one network and one fare system. Other cable cars on the Rigi have their own operators and their own fares, so do not assume your ticket covers them.
Most visitors reach the foot of the mountain by ship from Lucerne, which is why Weggis and Vitznau matter; our page on Weggis and Vitznau describes both. Operation and prices are set by the operator and can change, so check them before you go.

The day pass costs 84 CHF for adults and 42 CHF with the Half Fare card. The GA travel card and the Swiss Travel Pass are free. Children up to 15.99 years travel free with an adult, except school and youth groups.

Weggis to Kaltbad has the same fares as Vitznau to Kaltbad. Fares include VAT and are quoted in Swiss francs.
Lake and Rigi round trip
Ship and mountain railway are two separate services.
The ship from Lucerne and the mountain railway are run separately. A single ship ticket costs 23 CHF to Weggis and 31 CHF to Vitznau in second class, and the Swiss Travel Pass is valid on both services. More fares are on our page on the Lake Lucerne cruise.
Three packages cover the round trip. The guided Rigi day trip includes a guide, a cogwheel train ticket, an aerial cable car ticket and a boat cruise, and starts at landing stage 1. The classic round trip includes the second-class ship from Lucerne to Vitznau and from Weggis back, the railway from Vitznau to Rigi Kulm and on to Kaltbad, and the cable car down to Weggis, without a guide. The third package adds the day admission to the mineral baths. The words "1 day" on these tickets mean validity, not duration.
Mineral baths at Rigi Kaltbad
Rail ticket and bath on one day.
At Rigi Kaltbad there is a mineral bath and spa. One ticket combines the boat ride in second class, unlimited rides on the Vitznau to Rigi Kulm railway, the Weggis to Kaltbad cable car and the day admission to the baths. The bath takes its operating break from 23.11. to 27.11.2026. For a bath on those days, choose a different week. Prices of the combination change, so look at the offer when you book.
